Getting the U of T Experience Downtown and Abroad

Why U of T?

Violet chose U of T because of the opportunity for downtown city living, historic gothic architecture and program flexibility. Having recently received her Real Estate license, she hopes to eventually become a real estate agent or property developer.

Outside of the Classroom

Outside of classes, Violet enjoys giving campus tours to prospective students as a tour guide, serving as a student library representative in Graham Library and participating in the Trinity College Dramatic Society as the Treasurer.

Studying Abroad

One of Violet’s favourite experiences in undergrad has been studying abroad. She took “CRI389: Rights, Freedoms and Responsibilities in Criminal Law: Historical Origins and New Directions in England and Canada,” in the UK. Reflecting on the experience she says, “I took this course as part of the Summer Abroad program at the University of Oxford! This course looked at how Criminal Law in England and Canada has changed over time with a particular emphasis on people’s rights and responsibilities under the law. It covered topics from the Medieval period to present day. This course was a great opportunity to learn from a U of T professor in an international environment!”
