Research courses
Many of your undergraduate courses will involve participating in research. You’ll develop an understanding of theories, concepts, and methodologies involved in your field of study.
If you’re looking to further engage in research, you’ll have plenty of options to pursue, including:

Participate in a faculty member’s research while earning course credit.

Research Opportunity Program
The Research Opportunity Program (ROP) gives you the chance to earn course credit while gaining hands-on research experience alongside U of T faculty. Open to students in their second year and beyond, ROPs are offered across multiple disciplines, helping you build academic and professional skills through real research projects. It's a valuable way to explore your interests, connect with professors and prepare for grad school or future careers.
International Research Experiences
