International experiences
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Francesca was drawn to U of T because of the variety of resources for international students and academically rigorous program options. She’s also enjoyed expanding her global experience by studying abroad in London, UK for a semester at King's College London.
Courses that transcend the classroom
A very topical and timely class for Francesca has been "MUN200: Confronting Global Controversies," a new course developed for Munk (School of Public Policy) students. Every week, the course is taught by different professors from different fields on different topics. This can range anywhere from developmental economics to nuclear weapons. Francesca has appreciated learning about global issues from different perspectives, especially when it pertains to political issues many face today.
Staying busy outside of school
Outside of the classroom, Francesca participates in the U of T Run Club, leads campus tours, oversees finances for the Smile UofT Club (a mental health awareness club), and participates in her Work Study at the Centre for International Experience (CIE) in their Partnerships & Awards office. In her free time she likes to cafe-hop around Toronto and hang out with friends.
Take advantage of the resources—don’t be scared—you never know what you’ll get out of it.
