Awards

The University has comprehensive scholarship programs that recognizes outstanding achievement at different levels of study. The University, its colleges, faculties and divisions award approximately 5,000 admission scholarships that total nearly $23 million and nearly 5,800 in-course awards each year.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Public Repository as part of Award Explorer! The Award Explorer is the University of Toronto’s new awards system – a centralized, searchable database from admissions to in-course and graduating awards. It supplements existing resources and aims to make it easier for you to explore awards at U of T.

Enrolment Services Scholarship Sorter

This Scholarship Sorter is integrated with the Award Explorer. Explore awards using the Award Explorer. You will be directed to this Sorter if you would like to learn more about an award that is offered through Enrolment Services

Select the type of award you are interested in learning about. Future students should search for admission scholarships. Current students should look at awards for undergraduate or graduate students.

If the application deadline falls on a day the University is closed (e.g. weekend, statutory holiday, etc), applications are accepted on the following business day.

The School of Graduate Studies maintains a list of major graduate awards accessible through their website.

The fundamental goal of the Program is to help young adults with financial need to graduate from a recognized college or university in Toronto.

The first priority for the Bertha Lamb Scholarships will be given to young adults who have received mentoring and peer support through the Mentorship Program and who will be entering their first year of post-secondary study. Nomination for the Mentorship Program is by Big Brothers/Big Sisters organizations that seek to identify Grade 8 students with high academic potential who are participating in a matching program.

The second priority for the Scholarships will be given to other young adults who have participated in a Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization as little Brothers or Little Sisters. These candidates may apply independently for the award during their final year of secondary school study or at any point in their post-secondary studies.

The recipients will be chosen on the basis of the extent to which they meet the award criteria.
