Important Application Dates

2019-2020

The university application process starts in the fall of the year before you intend to begin your studies. Be sure to start looking into Scholarships right away as well, as some have early deadlines.

We encourage you to submit your application and the appropriate application fee well in advance of the posted deadlines.  Recommended application deadline for OUAC 105, U of T International, Internal and Part-time applications is November 1, 2018. Spaces fill quickly and programs may close before the application deadlines listed below.  If we receive your application from OUAC after the program is closed, your application will be cancelled with no refund.

Approximately one week after we receive your application we will send you an email acknowledgement including your JOINid/UTORid, your University of Toronto applicant number, and full information about the next steps in the application process.

If you’re not sure which type of application you’ll need to make (OUAC 101, OUAC 105, U of T International, Internal, etc.), find out more about Applying.

Deadlines to Submit Supporting Documentation

OUAC 101 Applicants

Admission decisions for Ontario secondary school (101) applicants are released during three admission rounds, occurring in February, March and May.

February 15 is the deadline for receipt of transcripts and English facility test scores (if required).  As many offers of admission will be made in the earlier admission rounds, and space is limited, meeting the February 15 deadline ensures that your documents are available for this early consideration.  Late documents will be considered as space allows.

All Other Applicants

Admission decisions for secondary school applicants are released during three admission rounds, occurring in early February, late March, and late May. The earliest round of consideration will take place before the February document deadline and applicants who wait until the document deadline to submit documents will likely need to wait for third round consideration in late May.  Admission decisions for postsecondary applicants are released on an ongoing basis beginning in January.

It is always wise to apply and submit required documentation and English facility test scores (if required) well in advance of deadlines, as some programs fill early, and some may fill even before the published deadlines. Late documents will be considered as space allows.

Supplementary applications can only be submitted after a student has applied to the program area.
