Our Outreach Programs

The University of Toronto community hosts a variety of hands-on enrichment programs throughout the year, including the summer — when school takes a pause, but learning and growing don’t. By offering flexible options ranging from day camps to all-inclusive courses with meals, accommodations, and weekend activities, our goal is to make it fun and easy for students to immerse themselves at Canada’s premier university and make memories that will last a lifetime.

“I thought it was really important to see what kind of science is going on in their backyards. It’s Canadian and we should celebrate that. The other really important feature is to attract the best and brightest in science.” — Professor Dwayne Miller, who founded Science Rendezvous in 2007, an outdoor science festival that started at the University of Toronto and has since spread to 30+ cities and 80+ organizations across the country.

Hosted annually across our three campuses on Mother’s Day weekend in recognition of the key role that women have played in the history of science, Science Rendezvous is just one of dozens of outreach initiatives that the U of T community offers in science, math, languages, law, leadership, theatre, global issues, medicine, and more.
