The University of Toronto University of Toronto Grant For Individuals in Extended Society Care (formerly the University of Toronto Crown Ward Grant) helps eligible students with their tuition costs. These students will receive 100% of their tuition costs, to a maximum of 100% of tuition charged for a first-year, regular Arts and Science program.

Eligibility: Recipient must:

be receiving OSAP in the current academic year;
have self-identified on OSAP application in receipt of Extended Society Care, or in receipt of the OSAP Living and Learning Grant;
be registered in full-time studies, taking at least 60% of a full course load (40% if you are a student with a disability);
be taking a program that you can enter directly from high school.

How to Apply: OSAP recipients are automatically considered.

How/When Is It Paid: The grant will be paid in two equal instalments after a student’s enrolment is confirmed for each study term. It will be paid against outstanding fees first. Any remaining grant will be deposited directly into the student’s back account. It is important that the student’s bank account information is up‐to‐date on their ACORN account to ensure that they receive their funding in a timely manner.
