Eligibility: Recipient must: be an Ontario resident who is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; enrolled in an approved degree program that is 12 weeks or more in length; have financial need according to the OSAP need assessment  Taking at least 60% of a full course load (1.5 credits per term for undergraduate students) (or 40% if you have a permanent disability (1.0 credits per term for undergraduate students)) -- see OSAP for Part-Time Students if studying part time.

Value/Amount: Based on calculated financial need. Student Assistance maximums are: Single Students: Up to $390per week of study; Married Students and Sole-Support Parents: Up to $660 per week of study. If eligible, you could receive OSAP grants in excess of these amounts. OSAP assistance amounts are updated yearly - check the OSAP website for the most current information.

How/When Is It Paid: OSAP funds are disbursed in two installments. Generally, for a two-term study period, 60% of the funding will be disbursed in September and the remainder in January.
