The majority of our admission scholarships for international undergraduate applicants are awarded through our automatic awards programs. International secondary students are considered for these awards as a part of the admissions review process. The two major admission awards are the University of Toronto Scholars Program and President’s Scholars of Excellence Program. No separate application is required as they are merit-based. You can find more information about these awards by using the Award Explorer.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship
International secondary applicants may also be considered for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship program if nominated by their high school. This scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement who are recognized as leaders within their school.

CollegeBoard – CSS Profile
The University of Toronto has a limited number of admission scholarships available to international undergraduate applicants who have financial need. These are selected based on academic merit as well as demonstrated financial need. When a student is selected on academic merit, faculties and divisions at the University of Toronto may use the CSS Profile, which is administered by CollegeBoard, to assess qualified international undergraduate applicants for scholarships based on a financial need component. In all cases, qualified admitted students will be contacted directly and provided with a free CSS application code.
Please note that scholarships and bursaries rarely cover the full cost of tuition and living expenses. Canadian applicants should not complete the CSS Profile, as they are eligible for UTAPS and other governmentally administered financial aid programs.
