FAQ

As a current U of T student, how can I apply for scholarships?

University of Toronto students have access to over 4,000 in-course scholarships every year. These scholarships are awarded to current students who are excelling in their programs. For example, through the University of Toronto Scholars Program, students completing their first, second or third year of study can receive scholarships of $1,500 each – the University offers 100 of these per level every year. Top students will automatically be considered for most of these awards, but some do require applications.

Find out more about these opportunities here.

Where can I get help planning my budget and find out about financial options?

Financial counselling is available through your faculty, college or Enrolment Services. Counsellors can help you navigate the array of government and University of Toronto programs, scholarships and bursaries available to you. They can also help with budget planning and debt management. Consult the Financial Counselling Directory to make an appointment with a financial counsellor.

Where can I go for writing help, academic support or career advising?

U of T offers a range of services and support for students. Find out about writing centres, accessibility support, career advising, and much more here.
