Richard B. Nunn Leadership Award

The Richard B. Nunn Leadership Award recognizes participation in, and contribution to student governance, student activities and athletics at the University of Toronto and academic achievement. Full time students should apply during their second-to-last year of study (i.e. 3rd year of study), and part-time students should apply at the equivalent point in their degree studies. Students may apply only once.

Eligibility:

Recipient must:

  • be a full-time undergraduate student in the penultimate year of study (or the equivalent point in degree studies for part-time students)
  • demonstrate participation in, and contribution to, student governance, student activities and athletics at the University of Toronto and academic achievement
  • have maintained a cumulative average of at least B+ (CGPA 3.5)

Note: The financial circumstance of an applicant may also be considered, but will not be a determinative factor.

How to Apply:

  • New for Fall 2023 / Winter 2024: All in-course awards will be awarded in the Winter term. The application will close on Thursday February 1, 2024 at 5 p.m.  Only one application is required. You may apply for multiple awards on one U of T Student Award Application Form. Please be sure to check the award criteria before selecting the award. Applications will open on Tuesday September 5, 2023.

Notification of decision:

  • Award recipients will receive an award letter by email from the University Registrar’s Office, usually one month after the application deadline.
  • The award letter will include information on the award payment and should be kept for future reference.
