Must be a Canadian secondary student intending to begin university the following academic year; Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person who has applied for the National Scholarship Program.

Description of Award: 

The Arbor Scholarship is awarded to runners-up of the National Scholarship competition. Each year approximately ten students are selected as National Scholars (winners) and approximately ten students are selected as Arbor Scholars (runners-up). For further details please refer to the National Scholarship Program.

Value/Amount: 
Arbor Scholarships are valued at $7,500 in their first year at the University of Toronto, and $1,500 for each of the second, third and fourth years, contingent on ongoing academic achievement.

How to Apply: 

Student must apply to the National Scholarship Program in order to be considered for the Arbor Scholarship.  Each year approximately ten students will be named National Scholars (winners) and approximately ten students will be named Arbor Scholars (runners-up).
